The website of the Indian Ocean historic image library freely allows internet users to consult images (engravings, drawings, watercolours, photographs, postcards) for study purposes. These images come from the collections of the French Department of La Reunion (Departmental Archives, Departmental Library, the Léon Dierx Art Museum, the Natural History Museum of La Reunion, Historical Museum of Villèle) as well as from private collections.

However, “No reproduction, even partial, other than those provided for in the L 122-5 article from the Code of Intellectual Property Rights, can be made on this website without the author’s express authorization”.
